These are the stories that never made it to the mainstream headlines, yet they hold the deepest truths, raw emotions, and powerful impact that truly reflect the pulse of our society.

📰 1. The Invisible Workers of Karachi’s Sewers

Date: March 5, 2024
Location: Orangi Town, Karachi

Hidden beneath the surface of Pakistan’s bustling commercial capital lies a network of sewer lines—maintained by men without uniforms, safety gear, or even recognition. Jamal, a father of four, descends daily into toxic drains with nothing but a rope and iron bucket. When asked why, he said, “If I don’t do it, my kids won’t eat.” These sanitation workers risk their lives without insurance or medical aid. One slip could mean death. Despite the government’s promises of mechanized cleaning, these forgotten laborers still carry the filth of the city—unseen, unheard, and unpaid.

đź“° 2. The Girl Who Taught in a Bombed-Out School

Date: November 18, 2023
Location: North Waziristan

After military operations left her village scarred, 17-year-old Shaista turned the ruins of a half-bombed school into a classroom for local children. With broken chalk and makeshift blackboards, she teaches English and arithmetic to over 30 kids—many of whom lost parents to crossfire. “Education,” she says, “is the only weapon we have now.” Her courage and leadership show how one individual can rebuild a future from ashes, even when the world forgets their postcode.

📰 3. When the Ambulance Didn’t Arrive

Date: July 9, 2024
Location: Lyari, Karachi

Late at night, a woman screamed for help outside her apartment block. Her father had collapsed due to a stroke. Residents called 15, 1122, and nearby private hospitals—but no ambulance arrived. In desperation, three teenagers carried him on a pushcart to the hospital. He died on arrival. The family now keeps a printed list of cab drivers in case it happens again. In a city where time is life, a broken emergency system can quietly take lives—without ever making a sound in the news.

ABOUT ME

My Journey So Far

â–

My career began in the vibrant, unpredictable streets of Karachi—covering ground-level political rallies, crime scenes, and stories often ignored by mainstream narratives. With years of experience across leading news channels like BOL News, 24 News HD, GTV, and now as an anchor at K21 News, I’ve transformed field reporting into meaningful national conversation. Each assignment has deepened my mission: to inform with integrity, challenge with courage, and speak for those whose voices are often unheard.
