Karachi police have officially registered a case against Town Chairman Farhan Ghani he is also brother of Sindh provincial minister Saeed Ghani under terrorism and other criminal sections
The FIR lodged at Ferozabad police station on the complaint of government officer states that on 22 August he was performing duty along the service road of Shahrah-e-Faisal, supervising the laying of fiber optic cables
According to the complaint during the work three vehicles carrying 20 to 25 men arrived at the site. The men allegedly attacked the complainant and other officials present. The FIR specifically names Farhan Ghani, Qamaruddin, Shakeel Chandio, Sikandar, and Rohan while noting that additional attackers can be identified if produced.
The charges in the FIR include attempted murder criminal intimidation assault on a government officer and sections related to terrorism.
Police have confirmed that the case has been filed but no arrest has been made so far.
This incident is likely to raise political attention, as it directly involves a close family member of a sitting Sindh minister.
