IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon and Prosecutor General Sindh Muntazir Mehdi jointly chaired a high level meeting at the Central Police Office, Karachi. The meeting focused on enhancing investigative procedures, prosecution coordination, and real time case monitoring From FIR to Courtroom All Under One Digital Eye One of the most transformative developments discussed was the integration of the Police Station Record Management System (PSRMS) with the court case flow management system. This digitized system allows online documentation from FIR to challan, ensuring evidence preservation and timely prosecution.
More importantly, this system will now allow the performance of Investigation Officers (IOs) to be tracked, monitored, and evaluated digitally Prosecution teams will also have full access to case files and performance reports, making joint supervision and early intervention possible in flawed investigations
The meeting included participation from senior ranks including Additional IGs, DIGs, SSPs, district prosecutors, and legal officers. Officers were briefed by DIG Crime & Investigation and AIG Legal
Prosecutor General Muntqzir Mehdi emphasized that minor investigative errors often result in acquittals, adding that delays in case filing are among the primary reasons for bail or release of accused persons.
